Here are some examples in case you are stuck: These are the videos we watched in class. In the first video Bill Nye the Science Guy introduces us to archeology and explains how we learn about the distant past. In the second video Khan Academy explains one theory about human origins and describes a few of the early hominids you took notes on in class **Remember, a theory is an idea, and many people debate this theory of ancestry. Archeologists studied prehistoric fossils, and created a theory about how these ancient bones are connected to humans today. It's okay if you don't agree with these ideas! People all of the world have different ideas about where people came from, this is just one idea.**

I have extra copies of the papers in my staff room. Students can come see me at first or second break if they need another copy. Last week we began our study of history. This week, we will continue to develop the skills needed to be successful in grade 5 Social Studies.
